Thrash metal legends Metallica have found themselves in yet another rhythm game, this time making the jump to the virtual reality hit ‘Beat Saber‘. Metallica of course took a fully-fledged jump into the world of rhythm games back in 2009 with the release of ‘Guitar Hero: Metallica‘.
More recently, the outfit returned in digital form as part of a crossover event with battle royale shooter ‘Fortnite‘ and its umbrella of associated games, including the ‘Fortnite Festival’ rhythm game component — a spiritual successor to the ‘Guitar Hero‘ franchise.
Now 17 of the band’s songs have newly arrived in ‘Beat Saber‘ as part of a just released DLC pack. You can see a brief tease of that in action below:
?? OUT NOW: @BeatSaber x Metallica Music Pack! ??
Experience Metallica like never before. Step into virtual reality to experience 17 of your favorite songs on a whole new level inside the award-winning game’s Metallica-inspired world.
