Straight edge hardcore band No Cure have launched two benefit shirts to help raise funds after two of their members were stabbed earlier this week. Vocalist Blaythe Steuer and bassist Jake Murnane attempted to stop a fight during the group’s September 25th show at The Cobra in Nashville, TN and sustained stab wounds from one of the individuals.

A 43-year-old individual fled the scene and attempted to throw the blade used in the assault on the roof of a nearby building, however, police apprehended him and recovered the weapon, charging him with two counts of aggravated assault.

Blathe said of the incident on the 26th:

“We are both going to be okay, however Jake is in worse condition. I got discharged this morning after they stitched up my arterial bleed, but Jake is still in the hospital. He’s got 29 staples in his stomach, and 10 stitches in his shin. There is a good chance we will look in to some kind of merch drop or something to help with his medical expenses, but everything is still developing.”

An update shared today, September 28th reads as follows:

The benefit shirts can be purchased via deathmetalhottopic.com.
