His middle name is the Dutch variation on Beethoven’s first name, Ludwig. Gregg Allman Band – Uncle Sam’s was recorded at the Hull, MA club on July 1 of ’83 and features renditions of Gregg’s solo songs Queen of Hearts and Sweet Feelin’ as well as several Allman Brothers Band songs, among them, Melissa, Dreams, Midnight Rider, Trouble No More, Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’ and Statesboro Blues done by Allman and backed by Danny (lead guitar) and Frank (drums) Toler, Bruce Waibel (rhythm guitar), Gregg Vorhees (bass), Chaz Trippy (percussion) and Donn (sax & flute) and Larry (trumpet) Finney .
